Annual Economy Overviews

Topic:

The global space industry continued to grow in 2015, although currency fluctuations caused the appearance of a slight decline from $## billion in 2014 to $## billion in 2015. All financial data in this report is converted to U.S. dollars for analysis, and the dollar strengthened substantially against the euro, yen, pound, ruble, and many other currencies going from 2014 to 2015. Due to the ever-increasing levels of activity outside the United States, these fluctuations have a larger impact than would have been the case several decades ago. When measured in their domestic currencies, as detailed later in Section 2, most national budgets and commercial sectors experienced healthy growth.
