Steven Jordan Tomaszewski


Steve Jordan Tomaszewski is the Senior Director, National Security Space at the Aerospace Industries Association. As the lead on national security space policy matters, Steve works with AIA’s membership to advocate for policies, regulations, and investments that ensure American leadership and strong industry partnership across the national security space enterprise.

Steve’s most recent experience was with The Aerospace Corporation and provided objective technical advice to senior Department of Defense executives in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. In this role, he provided oversight to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community programs and satellite architectures, advised budget guidance and programming, and advocated for policy issues like bringing the United States Space Force into the Intelligence Community and standing up the National Space Intelligence Center.

Steve has supported several other key governmental organizations with space policy work and intelligence analysis including the Department of the Air Force, National Security Agency/Central Security Service, the Defense Intelligence Agency through the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Steve also continues to serve in the military as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force Reserve assigned to the National Reconnaissance Office.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in political science from the United States Air Force Academy, and a Master of Public Affairs in policy analysis from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
